Science is certainly one of the grand ways to know the world, but not alone in its grandness. Knowing the world only through science would be to hardly know the world at all. We are wise to know the world from several perspectives. To know the world through both science and art, would be so rich.
To know the world from two (or more) disparate perspectives? Would it be enough? Possibly not? Holding on to views from disparate perspectives might create discord. We need to practice observing and expressing nature from scientific and artistic perspectives until the two perspectives become one - without art subsuming science or vice versa, as the reductionists would have it.
